I am the author of Flutter, The Discover Series! Reading

has always been a passion for me, and writing as instinctive as breathing.

Every inhale is an idea; every exhale a creation. The only thing I do better than writing you ask? Making beautiful girls. My daughter’s will always be my greatest accomplishment.

I was born in Denver, Colorado–but I will always think of sunny Arizona

as my home. I don’t have a big family, but I’m close with my sister, brother

& my mom. My mom is my hero, my inspiration, and I couldn’t have asked for a

more amazing person to be raised by.

4 things you should know about me: I’m very girly, but I can get down and dirty

with the best of them. I adore the color pink and things that sparkle

(including vampires), I am a firm believer that chocolate cures ALL and I like

even numbers (hence 4 things about me, not 5) Okay, maybe I cheated a little

with my list, shhhh.

The questions...

 

RC: What inspired you to write "The Edge of Darkness"?

M: I wanted to do something different. I like coming up with fresh and new ideas and I think the twist in TED is a great new spin!

 

RC: What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

M: There is light even in the darkest places and together two people will learn to live again in a fresh new twist in NA contemporary.

 

RC: If you had to choose one song to be the theme song... What would you choose?
M: This might sound weird, because the song was made for a certain movie, but I love the lyrics to This Women's Work by Kate Bush. There is a part in the song where she says "I know you have a little life left, I know you have a lot of strength left." & that's totally Araya. Apart from the beginning of the song, it was completely meant for The Edge of Darkness.

RC: If there was a movie, Who would you pick to play Araya and Ryland?
M: I think I would like fresh new faces! I can't thin of any current actors who would be a good fit. MAYBE Emma Stone, I love her!

 

RC: Naming just three... Who are your favorite Authors currently?
M: Tabatha Vargo. Cameo Renae. Cambria Hebert.

 

RC: If you could describe yourself with just one word... What would it be and why?
M: Passionate. If I'm not passionate about something, my hearts not really in it.

RC: Do you have a fun fact about yourself you'd like to share with your readers?

M: I use to be a wedding planner before I started writing! I loved it.

After pressing the button for the 53^rd floor, Zach quickly flashed a glance over at the mystery beauty and acknowledged her with a polite smile and a calm “You’re welcome”. Once he had done so, he tried to avert his eyes to avoid making her feel uncomfortable. Zach looked up at the ceiling of the elevator….mirrors. Then he glanced over at the back wall of the elevator….mirrors. But what he saw in them was the reflection of a beautiful stranger with a stare planted firmly on him. He finally dropped his head to pretend he was looking at the floor of the elevator, only there was a problem with that….more mirrors! Now if he stared too long at the floor of the elevator, he could be accused of trying to peep up the slinky black dress of his guest in the elevator. There was simply no way he could avoid looking at her.

Her petite voice pierced the awkward silence once more. “72^nd floor?” she questioned.

Zach was hoping to be there soon, so he could avoid any more awkward conversation. He glanced up at the digital floor-counter above the elevator doors. 9^th floor! This awkward conversation was just beginning. With that he turned his attention to the mystery beauty opposite him in the elevator.

“Yep, that’s me!” he said shyly as he met her eyes with his.

“Isn’t everything above the 70^th floor a suite or a penthouse?” she curiously mused.

“I honestly have no idea miss. This is my first time ever staying here.”

Her curiosity began to grow more now. She started to eye Zach up and down to get a good look at him. Zach suddenly became uneasy because he knew how this always ended for him. Or at least he thought he did. As he expected her too, the mysterious woman ceased to relent with her questioning.

“Say….you must be someone important if you’re staying on the 72^nd floor,” she pondered out loud.

“Or have a good night at the blackjack tables!” he quickly joked.

The momentary laughter their shared over that statement served to ease Zach’s tension for only a matter of minutes. Zach didn’t know what to say next and neither did the mystery beauty. He glanced up again at the floor-counter above the doors, thinking he had successfully dodged a bullet. 14^thfloor! This elevator was quickly becoming a prison of sorts and Zach’s anxiety grew. He wondered the likelihood of them making it to the 53^rd floor before the inevitable happened. Probably not he thought to himself. He glanced back over at his co-pilot on this magic carpet ride and found her still intently fixated on him with her stare.

“So Mr. Lucky-at-blackjack…..what’s your name?” she politely asked.

“Zach,” he responded.

“That’s funny,” she noted. “I drove up today for a book-signing at the book shop on the other side of the resort. The author’s name was Zachary Disdain,” she smirked.

“You don’t say?” Zach said with a twinge of sarcasm.

“Yeah, you know the romance author, Zachary Disdain?”

“No ma’am….can’t say as I know him.”

“I suppose not,” the mystery woman suggested. “Most men don’t read romance novels anyways.”

“You can say that again!” Zach quickly joked.

If you love Hot Vampires and Sexy Love Scenes

This book is for you

I give it 5 out of 5

 

The Author did a great job creating a story that sucked you in from the very beginning. The main character is a young girl that is very likeable with a great personality . The descriptions throughout the book are vivid and creative. The love the characters share is intoxicating and the storyline is one of a kind. There are intense emotions throughout the book and suspense that leaves you biting your nails. Along with vampires... fairies, werewolves, demons, and witches all make appearances. I loved this book and devoured it in about 3 hours. Cannot wait to see where the Author takes the story in Book 2.

I was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. I have always loved reading and writing. This is my first novella in a series. I am hoping to have book two out soon. My characters become so personal to me and I guess it's because you put your entire heart and soul into them.

I first started writing as a child. On rainy days my mom and I would "make" books. We would draw pictures and I would make up the stories. It is such a treasured memory of mine and I believe is what gave me the bug to keep on writing.

As a newbie author, I appreciate everyones support and love! This community of writers, illustrators, models and just avid readers has been awesome!

This book has love and laughter.... What more could you ask for?

Jaded is a book about a young female rockstar named Scarlett. She decides to take a break from her crazy life and moves to FL to attend High School. Her first day she meets a gorgeous set of brothers and starts to fall head over heels for bad boy Stephan. Through this book Scarlett deals with first time love, trying to get along with the girls at school, discovering a family secret, and trying to find her missing sister. I will say though, the ending is a killer! You will be craving book 2!

I felt the Author did a great job writing a unique storyline with just the right amount of details. There were twists in the book that kept you guessing and the characters were very relatable. I would recommend this book to all readers!!

What inspired you to write the Rockstar Trilogy?

The story just literally came to me. I "actually" plotted the first book, which wasn't normal for me. Of course it turned out different than I thought… I'm a musician. I play the guitar, bass, & drums. I know how crazy a career as a musician is. I LOVE writing about musicians :)

 

If you had to choose just one song to be the soundtrack for Faded... What would it be?

Definitely Gold Trans Am by Ke$ha. I listened to that song on repeat a LOT.

Do you ever write about personal experiences?

Yes, and the experiences of those around me. (Like the roommate in You Got Me was inspired by my best friend's college roommate this last semester).

What is the thing you find toughest about being an Author?

Time management. I am usually up until 3 am every morning. It's a hard balance… Setting time to write, promoting, talking with fans… And still trying to find time for yourself. When I published my first book I was working 40 hours a week on top of all this...

:What is your favorite book of all time and Why?

Oh gosh, this is a tough one. It's a tie. Between Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, & Divergent. Both books are… AMAZING. The worlds that JK Rowling and Veronica Roth wrote are so creative. It takes a lot of imagination to do that. And both books are so emotional for me. I feel so connected to the characters.

Who is your favorite Author, currently?

Oh gosh… I'm going to go with Cassandra Clare. I just started the Immortal Instruments Series, and I LOVE IT. My favorite author changes often, but she is amazing.

If you had to describe yourself with one word... What would it be and why?

 Weird.

Yes, I'm serious, lol.

I've just never really fit in. I've always been a crazy outsider, and I'm ok with that. My friends in high school always told me I was "a good weird"… I guess it's a good thing.
