**This is book 2 of the Unbroken Series and it is recommended that you read book 1 Escaping Heartbreak first, before reading book 2**

Sometimes in life we can’t help who we fall in love with, no matter how hard we try. No matter what type of person they make us become. Wren Porter knew that first hand. Her best friend’s brother, Dane Evans’ was the only guy she’d ever had eyes for. He was, “The One.” The one she was supposed to marry someday. To grow old with, but it was hard to love someone that would never love her back.

After revealing to Dane that their one-night-stand had resulted in a pregnancy, she knew that the baby would be her only real link to the boy she loved. After tragedy strikes, Wren was left feeling like her heart would be broken forever. But hearts were made to mend, and people were made to love. And when an unexpected person comes into her life, it forces her to feel, something she hasn’t done in a long time. She thought it was too soon, and that she wasn’t ready. What she didn’t know was that love doesn’t come when you expect it or when you’re ready. It came crashing in at the craziest of times, and when you thought you’d never be able to love again.

Would she ever fully recover from the boy that would forever cause her heartbreak? Because the green-eyed boy wanted her whole heart and nothing less?

It’s time to stop running, stop hiding, and start learning where the true escape lies. Everyone will face heartbreak, but not everyone will find love.

Top 10 of 2014

Top 10 of 2014
There have been so many wonderful books released this past year! It was tough choosing just 10 to highlight, but here are my favorites! They have all touched my heart or left an impact of some sort. I hope you get the chance to read these fabulous stories!

#1. Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan
Let's just be honest... Archer is everyone's book boyfriend! There was something about this story that grabbed my heart and held on tight... Still to this day I wish for more Archer.
** A NEW YORK TIMES, USA TODAY, and WALL STREET JOURNAL Bestselling book **

When Bree Prescott arrives in the sleepy, lakeside town of Pelion, Maine, she hopes against hope that this is the place where she will finally find the peace she so desperately seeks. On her first day there, her life collides with Archer Hale, an isolated man who holds a secret agony of his own. A man no one else sees.

Archer's Voice is the story of a woman chained to the memory of one horrifying night and the man whose love is the key to her freedom. It is the story of a silent man who lives with an excruciating wound and the woman who helps him find his voice. It is the story of suffering, fate, and the transformative power of love.

THIS IS A STAND-ALONE SIGN OF LOVE NOVEL, INSPIRED BY SAGITTARIUS. New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

#2. RAW by Belle Aurora
This one was suspenseful, romantic, & intense like no other. It made my heart race and consumed my mind when I wasn't reading. The ending was a What the hell? and definitely left me begging for more!

***Author Note: This is not a love story. This is a story of love gone wrong.***

Growing up the way I did, you’d think I’d be more screwed up than what I actually am.
Soon as I turned sixteen, I left that bump in the road I called home and took my chances on the street.
Best decision I ever made.
Now, at the age of twenty six, I’m educated, employed and damn good at my job.
My friends have become my family. Like me, they know what it’s like to grow up unloved.
But the saying is true.
The world makes way for those who know where they are going.
That’s me.
I know where I’m going and I’ll get there eventually. On my own terms and at my own pace.
But then there’s him.
I feel his eyes on me. I see him hiding in plain sight. He watches me.
He makes me feel.
It’s unconventional.
But it’s real.

I’m sure you’re wondering how a person falls in love with their stalker.
So am I.

This isn’t a story.

This is my life.

***This book includes situations that some may find uncomfortable.

Particularly Freaky Flynn.

Flynn Hendrick lived a life completely disconnected even as he struggled to become something more than that boy with Asperger's. He was taunted and teased, bearing the brunt of systematic and calculated cruelty, ultimately culminating in a catastrophic turn of events that brought Ellie and Flynn’s worlds crashing down.

But then Flynn and Ellie grew up.

And moved on.

Until years later when their paths unexpectedly cross again and the bully and the freak are face to face once more.

When labels come to define you, finding yourself feels impossible. Particularly for two people disconnected from the world who inexplicably find a connection in each other.

And out of the wreckage of their tragic beginnings, an unlikely love story unfolds.

But a painful past doesn’t always want to let go. And old wounds are never truly healed…and sometimes the further you try to run from yourself the closer you come to who you really are.

#7. Black Lies by Alessandra Torre
This story was such a mind f*. I spent the whole book thinking one thing only to realize I was completely wrong. It was intriguing and unlike anything I've ever read.

Brant:
Became a tech billionaire by his twentieth birthday. Has been in a relationship with me for 3 years. Has proposed 4 times. Been rejected 4 times.

Lee:
Cuts grass when he's not banging housewives. Good with his hands, his mouth, and his body. Has been pursued relentlessly by me for almost 2 years, whether he knows it or not.

Go ahead. Judge me. You have no idea what my love entails.

If you think you've heard this story before, trust me - you haven't.

**This is a STANDALONE full-length novel. It is not part of a series, and does not contain a cliffhanger.**

#8. Unteachable by Leah Raeder

An edgy, sexy USA TODAY bestseller about falling for the one person you can’t have.Maise O’Malley just turned eighteen, but she’s felt like a grown-up her entire life. The summer before senior year, she has plans: get into a great film school, convince her mom to go into rehab, and absolutely do not, under any circumstances, screw up her own future.

But life has a way of throwing her plans into free-fall.

When Maise meets Evan at a carnival one night, their chemistry is immediate, intense, and short-lived. Which is exactly how she likes it: no strings. But afterward, she can’t get Evan out of her head. He’s taught her that a hookup can be something more. It can be an unexpected connection with someone who truly understands her. Someone who sees beyond her bravado to the scared but strong girl inside.

That someone turns out to be her new film class teacher, Mr. Evan Wilke.

Maise and Evan resolve to keep their hands off each other, but the attraction is too much to bear. Together, they’re real and genuine; apart, they’re just actors playing their parts for everyone else. And their masks are slipping. People start to notice. Rumors fly. When the truth comes to light in a shocking way, they may learn they were just playing parts for each other, too.

Smart, sexy, and provocative, Unteachable is about what happens when a love story goes off-script.

#9. Come Back to Me by Mila Gray
The writing in this book reminded me of the elegance of Nicholas Sparks. The story felt real and kept me on the edge of my seat. It is a forbidden, military romance that will capture your heart!

#10. The Pairing by Katie Ashley
One word.... Pesh. He is successful, kind, and HOT!
Him and Megan's story is one I will never forget!

Amazon Link- http://amzn.to/1CNkqCc

After her former boyfriend left her pregnant and alone, Megan McKenzie swore off men. She spent the last eighteen months focused solely on her son, Mason, along with finishing nursing school at the top of her class. Although she’s not ready to complicate her life with a long-term relationship, a nice no-strings attached hook-up is just what she needs. At her godson, Noah’s, baptism, she finds the perfect candidate in the soft-spoken godfather, Pesh Nadeen. After all, the widower could use a good time too. But after drinking too much, the night doesn’t end the way she thought it would. Forced to leave Pesh’s house through a walk of shame, Megan hopes to never, ever see him again.

For Pesh Nadeen, the very sight of Megan sends him into an emotional tailspin. Since she reminds him too much of what he has lost, he wants to be out of her sight…at first. But the more he gets to know her, there's something about the diminutive blonde that causes his protective side to go into overdrive, and he finds himself wanting more. When Megan is assigned to work in his ER to complete her nursing clinicals, he sees it as fate, but she’s having no part of it. She only wants a physical relationship while he wants far more.

What happens next is a sexy game of cat and mouse to see who will break first or if both of them will eventually get more than they ever bargained for.

I'm a British-born, Australian-based author. I've previously published two novels for teens (in '09 and '12) and have recently completed my first piece of erotic writing.
At the beginning of 2014 (after having spent years writing other genres - historical, metaphysical, children's, romance) I decided I wanted to write about S.E.X.
I discovered very quickly that I couldn't JUST write about sex, I wanted (I needed) it to have context, depth, and meaning. So, I started writing, and writing, and writing... I had intended to produce a short story but in less than 3 months I surpassed the 100,000 words mark and I wasn't even half-way finished! Besides, I was having SO much fun! :D
That was in May this year. Then I decided to turn SHE into parts 1 & 2 and I took a break from the writing to focus on publishing the first part.
Through FB networking I met some wonderful women who read my novel and offered suggestions and were all very positive about the strength of the story. Together we edited it, and I designed and created the cover and the internal layout. And on October 17th 2014 I pressed the "launch" button and voila! I'm part of the Kindle and Amazon community :)

My Thoughts:
5/5 Stars

A controversial book with so much impact!
WOW! What a read... My mind is still reeling at this one.
The characters were unique and while at times they frustrated the hell out of me, I LOVED them!
Each one brought so much to the table....

The story is about a bully falling in love with the guy she has always picked on. Ever since they went to High School together she had a soft spot for him. Around her friends though, she built up a wall and joined in on the bullying. When he comes back into her life she realizes that she has feelings. She wants to pretend she doesn't, but finds him hard to resist.

Flynn is different. He suffers from Asperger's and struggles with socializing. He is brutally honest all the time and says everything that is on his mind. When it comes to Ellie he tries his best to impress her with his charm and good looks. Flynn is guarded and likes to keep people at a distance. Ellie helps him peel back the layers to expose him to a romance like no other. Together they struggle with building a relationship and trying to communicate without hurting one another. They both are different, but together they create a beautiful story!

This is a MUST READ.... There is a lesson behind it and the romance will consume your heart. At times you will want to throw the book, but you will want to come back... don't worry!

It shows that love overcomes all.

On The Edge by Allison Van Diepen Review

From Allison van Diepen, author of Snitch and Street Pharm, comes a sexy, dangerous
novel—perfect for fans of Simone Elkeles and Paul Griffin—about a teen who witnesses a murder and gets caught up in the seedy world of Miami's gangs.
Maddie Diaz never should have taken that shortcut through the park. If she hadn't, she wouldn't have seen two members of the Reyes gang attacking a homeless man. Now, as the only witness, she knows there's a target on her back.
But when the Reyes jump her on the street, Maddie is protected by a second gang and their secretive leader, Lobo, who is determined to take down the Reyes himself. Lobo is mysterious and passionate, and Maddie begins to fall for him. But when they live this close to the edge, can their love survive?

My Thoughts:
4.5/5 Stars

On The Edge by Allison Van Diepen is a fast paced, heart racing romance that will suck you in from page one!

It's about a girl who witnesses a homeless man being murdered by the town's most notorious gang. She know if she gives them away they will be after her, but she does so anyway. From that moment on crime surrounds her. She is safe no where... or that is what she believes.
What she doesn't know is she has a protector, who may be closer than she thinks.

When she is rescued one night and dropped off at the hospital by a masked Lobo her world is turned upside down. She finds herself day dreaming about her mysterious hero and craving another visit. When he finally reveals himself he also exposes her to his world of danger. Together they build a romance like no other. It's secretive, romantic, and dangerous.

The storyline was intriguing and the suspense had me on the edge of my seat. There were so many twists and turns that I felt as though I was consumed by the story. I couldn't put it down and when it ended... I wanted more!

Lobo was intense, caring, & HOT! He is a book boyfriend that every girl needs in her life.
I highly recommend this book to all ages! Yeah it is YA, but the elegance of the writing and story matter is very much adult like.

The Catastrophic History of You and Me by Jess Rothenberg

An addictively page-turning debut for fans of Before I Fall and The Fault in Our Stars

Brie is the “biggest, cheesiest, sappiest romantic” who believes that everyone will find their perfect someone, so when Jacob, the love of Brie's life, tells her he doesn't love her anymore, the news breaks her heart, literally, and she dies. But now that she's D&G (dead and gone), Brie revisits the living world to discover that her family has begun to unravel and her best friend has been keeping an intimate secret about her boyfriend. Somehow, Brie must handle all of this while navigating through the five steps of grief with the help of Patrick, her mysterious bomber-jacketed guide to the afterlife. But how is she supposed to face the Ever After with a broken heart and no one to call her own?

Amazon Link- http://amzn.to/1zexryQ

My Thoughts:
3/5 Stars
I just finished this one and would definitely recommend it to young adult readers....
I usually enjoy YA, but this one border lined on being a tad too juvenile for me.
It played off of quirky parts and left out the romance I desired.
It's about a girl who is "Dead and Gone". She walks us through her life after death and also shows us what led up to that pivotal night.
When she reaches heaven she meets a boy and they instantly click. Together they go back to earth and give her ex a little dose of his own medicine. As their time together progresses Brie realizes that maybe there was more to her death than she thought.
Secrets are slowly revealed and the ending will leave your jaw on the ground!
I didn't expect the turn it took, but it added to the storyline for sure.

While the story was fast paced and intriguing... I think it is DEFINITELY for teens and not for a woman in her twenties. When I read that it was for fans of Before I Fall I thought I would enjoy, but this one fell short. The writing wasn't as mature in this one.

As an only child, Autumn kept herself entertained by making up all sorts of stories. For a long time, life and school dimmed her enthusiasm for creative writing. But as soon as she rediscovered her love of storytelling, she put her fingers to the keyboard and hasn’t looked back.

Her favorite books to read are mystery, thrillers, horror, romance, erotica and urban fantasy. Her favorite thing to write is romance. All of her stories have to include a hunky hero and an optimistic ending.

When she’s not writing, Autumn spends time listening to music, going to concerts, and driving her family nuts. She enjoys reading, gardening, acting, and collecting nail polish. (Her husband says she shouldn’t be allowed to include gardening in her list of hobbies, because she makes him do all the work, but that’s not relevant.)

Autumn lives in Upstate New York with her husband and their three rescue dogs. She is actively involved with several dog rescue groups and her local RWA chapter.
