Interview with Author Bella Roccaforte

Welcome Author Bella Roccaforte & Thank you for doing an Interview with Reader's Candy

Let's start with your writing.... Tell us a little about your most recent release. What is the title and description?
My most recent release is part one of a companion prequel, INK: Sketches. This chronicles the events leading up to the start of Book One. INK: Fine Lines (Book1) takes place when the real action starts. Shay Baynes’ birthday is kind of a bust. Over the last year her life has been on a downward slide with the deaths of her twin sister, her mother, a major father figure and a dear friend from work. She’s also been caught between two childhood sweethearts since elementary school and finally made the decision to walk away from both of them to get her life started on her own independently. But it becomes nearly impossible to avoid either of the hotties. Aiden shows back up out of the blue. He won’t leave her side when her neighbors are murdered and she’s the prime the suspect because her comic book depicts the murder scene. Eli is a district attorney jeopardizing his career to keep her out of jail.
Of course there have been strange occurrences that have gone unnoticed, until McNab, a paranormal investigator becomes involved and takes control.
This story is chock full of danger, and things that go bump in the night. Everyone’s involvement and history unfolds to set the scene for the rest of the series.

Only .99 (Through today 10-31)

If someone asked you why they should read it... What would you say?
This story is a great read for people who like characters that act like real people. The hunky men are flawed and real, Shay is a hot mess like most twenty-two year olds and the interactions between the characters is witty and will make you laugh. It’s also full of suspense, edge of your chair happenings that will keep you reading. It’s a fun read that will keep you enthralled.

If you had to describe your writing style with one word... What would it be and why?
Witty. The story and dialogue are both very fast paced. My characters say what most people think and just keep to themselves. My story also has more twists and turns than Mulholland Dr.!

Is there an Author that inspires you to write?
There are a few but one that has directly and absolutely inspired me to finish my story is Addison Moore. She is my total hero. Aside from being an amazing writer she is also the best cheerleader anyone could ever ask for. When I lost nearly 30k words of my manuscript I was going to quit. But with her encouragement I kept on going.

When reading... What genre do you prefer?
I really like a good paranormal story. I LOVE good zombie books.

We all claim a book boyfriend at one time or another... Who is your current book boyfriend?
My book boyfriend is now and will always be Gage Oliver from Addison Moore’s Celestra Series.

Enough about books... Let's get to know you

This or That?

Interview with Author Melina Turner

Welcome Author Melina Turner & Thank you for doing an interview with Reader's Candy.

Let's start with your writing....
Tell us a little about your most recent release.
What is the title and description?
My most soon-to-be released book is in December 29th on my birthday and is called
The Deathly-Roses Volume 1. It is a whole new genre called prose/narrative and will be turning into an anime/manga comic book. It is between adult and YA so anyone can read it. Also I wrote it in year 3.

Here's a small amount of the blurb...
Meet Wisty, a teenager forced by her family to bond to the richest, in Acrelain. But dire punishments, have given her something she never believed was true.
Join Wisty, as she sets off on an adventure between good and evil to find the very truths...that could break her or make her stronger.

If someone asked you why they should read it... What would you say?
I would say that they should read it as it's new and original, something you don't see everyday.

If you had to describe your writing style with one word... What would it be and why?
I'd say the way I write is "different" as I write every form of writing including movie scripts and lyrics and every genre of stories...their just not published yet.

Is there an Author that inspires you to write?
There is not an author who inspired me to write. However I do have my favorites such as to name a few; Isobelle Carmody, Derek Landy, James Patterson, J.D. Robb, Nora Roberts, Alisson Croggon and so many more...

When reading... What genre do you prefer?
I read any genre I can get my hands on.

We all claim a book boyfriend at one time or another... Who is your current book boyfriend?
Fang from Maximum Ride, Rushton from Obernewtyn Chronicles and many others...THOR (wait we are talking about books but all my head is saying is...) THOR...THOR...THOR...THOR

Enough about books... Let's get to know you!
This or That?
Vanilla or Chocolate?
Chocolate anyday! Unless there's no chocolate then i will downgrade to vanilla
 Sour or Sweet?
Sweeeeeeeet! duuuuuude!
 Money or Happiness?
Id go for both but seeing as I don't have the mulah...I will always go for happiness... I mean its freeee! Why second chance it?
 Christian or Gideon?
I don't know about Gideon but I know I ain't no christian, at some point I was cathoolic and converted myself to my own religion of Freelancer. So I shall take the Gideon path on this one
When it comes to a guy...
Looks or Personality?
Truth be told, I'd say I'm not a judgmental person but on this part I am truthfully wrong. I like a good personality in my guys but I do like something I can look at and go, "dammmmn!" or more so have an attraction too.
 Billionaire or Rockstar?
I would rather go with either...a rockstar can be a billionaire but most billionaires are complete assholes so I'd stick to something regular or different, that stood out in the boring world
 Boxers or Briefs?
Jesus! No jesus can't save you now lol. Okay between this or that other...I'd say it depends on the briefs and/or boxers their wearing. Some people I'd gladly pay to put their clothes back on and others, well...helloooo
 Control Freak or Careless Jerk?
I'd say in between, I like the natural guy, yes a little bit of arrogance nut at least decent.
In the bedroom...
Submissive or Dominant?
Oh wowsers...now we come to the dangers of a bedroom...lets see. I am not much for anything like this but on tops my thing. I like being on top of everything. On top of my writing. On top of designing costumes...I'm always on top of everything i do... don't imagine this being any different actually *BLUSHES*
 Handcuffs or Blindfold?
Might as well go hard or go home...so both
Although I have heard of awkward situations where the man/woman left their partner cuffed up all day. That'd be horrible. Id never forgive someone for doing that!

Whipped Cream or Lotion?
Whipped cream is yum but most lotions smell nice...hard decision
 Sweet/Slow or Hard/Fast ?
OH MY GOSH...people ask this question? Jebesus...both

Despite the distance, their bond grew stronger, revealing to each of them what they meant to each other. A series of fleeting moments and a string of failed relationships helped them realize that what they really wanted, what they needed, was each other.

“My stomach was in knots, hoping that I wasn’t imagining this moment until he started to move his lips to mine. I could feel his breath inches from my lips and I knew it was real. His lips briefly brushed mine before he deepened the kiss. I felt that kiss over my entire body and I started to move my hands around his neck, but just as it started to become something more, our moment was interrupted.”

Author Bio:

T.K. Rapp is a Texas girl born and raised! She attended Texas A&M where she graduated in 2000 with a degree in Journalism. It was there that she met her husband, who already had a contract with the US Navy. They married soon after she graduated and immediately moved to San Diego, California. Being a military family, they continued
to move several more times, which was a great adventure. Along the way, they started their family and are blessed with two awesome kids who are her world!

Her first novel, Being There, was self-published on July 3, 2013. When she started writing, she didn't really have any intention of publishing, but the more she got into it, the more she felt that it was a step she needed to take. It was both exciting and terrifying because she was going for it, but she would also be baring my soul and allowing people to tear her up. So far, the response has been encouraging and it pushes her to do more.

If you ask how her friends would describe her, words they tend to use include quirky, raunchy sense of humor, loves coloring her hair, stubborn, cheap drunk, loyal, fun, awesome mom and simple. If you ask her to describe her friends? One word: Blind!

When she isn’t writing, or thinking up something to write, she can be found chatting on Facebook, reading, adding things to her bucket list or hanging with her family.

A Beautiful Mess by T.K. Leigh Review

RECOMMENDED FOR READERS 18 AND UP DUE TO STRONG LANGUAGE, SEXUAL SITUATIONS, AND MILD VIOLENCE.

What happens when you lose everyone that promised they would always be there for you? How can you protect the few pieces of your shattered heart that remain?

Olivia Adler is a woman with a troubled past. After losing her parents at the young age of six and being raised by an uncle who she lost years later, she refuses to get attached to anyone, including friends. For the past decade, she has been able to remain unattached to any man, too worried about losing someone to get too close. Until Alexander Burnham walks into her life one night and changes everything. But he has issues of his own. And he’s keeping a secret that could turn her world upside-down. Will Olivia let Alexander in enough for him to get close and protect her from a force threatening her very existence, or will she push him away, scared of letting Alexander in, in order to protect her heart?

A Beautiful Mess is the first installment of a three part series sure to captivate the heart with a story of secrets, courage, and love.

My Thoughts:
A Beautiful Mess was edgy, romantic, and sexy.
4/5 Stars

I was instantly sucked into Alexander & Olivia's world.
The storyline was fast paced and kept me guessing.

The book starts with a young woman being attacked and rescued by the gorgeous Alexander. She doesn't know it then, but he is the same little boy who rescued her many years ago. As her and Alexander grow closer, feelings run deep. Together they form an intimate relationship and Alexander does everything to keep her safe.
The book was packed with mystery and romance.
The sex scenes were erotic and hot! Their connection was undeniable and their love was intoxicating.

My only complaint is at the end of the book I was left with my jaw hung open. I kept flipping and flipping... like no this cannot be how it ends! I am now so anxious to see where the Author takes the characters next.

My Thoughts:
If you liked Bared to You, you will love this book!
4.5/5 stars
Carter is dominant, charming, & sexy as hell.

This book starts with a beautiful young woman meeting the one and only, Carter Morgan. He catches her attention immediately and sparks fly. While Carter tries to win her over with his dominant nature, expensive gifts, and sexy sexcapades... She is trying to keep him at arms length.
Together they go through ups and downs and their relationship is filled with drama. Can their love withstand past relationships?? Read it to find out!

I loved this book. I thought is was a sexy read, that had a packed storyline. Their relationship kept things interesting because it was anything but hearts and flowers. The sex was hot and the romance was intense.

The flow of the book was good. It sucked me in from the beginning and had me wanting more at the end.

Highly Recommend!

Irreplaceable Blog Tour

Irreplaceable by Angela Graham
Genre: Contemporary Romance/New Adult

Synopsis:

It wasn’t his fault she lay broken and battered. He wasn’t responsible for the injuries covering her bruised body.
Her heart, however, told a different story. She endured the pain of its jagged edges as it shattered against her chest, ripping through the hope she once held. Her spirit was broken, and only one man was to blame for that.
Cassandra Clarke had known better than to trust her all to a man like Logan West. She’d thought he was different—a better man than he’d portrayed to others. A man worth risking it all for.
But she was wrong, and would never make that mistake again.
What happens when you question everything you longed to believe—deny all emotions you still hold for a man unworthy of them?

Faced with Logan’s persistence, Cassandra must find the strength to keep her guard up or risk falling again for the one man her body feels…is irreplaceable.

Review: I was given an ARC for an honest review.

This book begins right where Inevitable left off. I was immediately sucked into the emotional battle Cassandra is dealing with. She loves Logan, but can't seem to forget or forgive. While she continues to heal physically, she also tries to mend a relationship.

Angela kept with her theme of romance. Nothing was rushed or overdone. You got to see how Logan and Cassandra had to fight to be together. There were more sexy scenes in this book. Which for me, were the best parts. Each one brought a certain kind of sensuality and romance.

I loved the characters in this book just as much as I did in Inevitable. Cassandra was her strong willed self, but also showed signs of confliction. Logan was playboy Logan, but also showed how lost and hurt he was. Oliver was adorable, like always! There is something so sweet about a little boy that adores his father. Caleb and Hilary were charming. We got to see more of their story, which I really enjoyed!! Julia and Luke were both sweet and last but not least Jax!! He is my favorite. Such a cocky jerk, but I can't stop smiling when reading his scenes.

What made this book a 5 star read for me was the suspense and romance. I loved how the Author came up with unique situations. This book brought a wide range of emotions. There were parts where I was on the edge of my seat, Parts where I wanted to scream at Cassandra- JUST FORGIVE HIM ALREADY!, and Parts where I was consumed by romance.

I highly recommend this book to everyone looking for a well rounded romance~

Driven by K. Bromberg Review

Rylee Thomas is used to being in control. But she’s about to meet the one man that just might make her enjoy losing it…

I am the exception to the rule.

In a world full of willing women, I’m a challenge to the roguish and achingly handsome Colton Donavan. A man used to getting exactly what he wants in all aspects of life. He’s the reckless bad boy constantly skating that razor thin edge toward out of control, on and off of the track.

Colton crashes into my life like a tornado: sapping my control, testing my vulnerabilities beyond their limits, and unintentionally penetrating the protective wall around my healing heart. Tearing apart the world I rebuilt so carefully with structure, predictability, and discipline.

I can’t give him what he wants and he can’t give me what I need. But after a glimpse beneath his refined exterior into the dark secrets of his damaged soul, can I bring myself to walk away?

Our sexual chemistry is undeniable. Our individual need for complete control is irrefutable. But when our worlds collide, is the chemistry enough to bring us together or will our untold secrets and battle of wills force us apart?

My Thoughts:

4.5/5 Stars

The Author did a great job writing about emotional grief and sexy new encounters.
I was hooked from page one and on the edge of my seat the remainder of the story.

The Characters were fresh and unique. Rylee was a strong, hard working, broken young woman and Colton was an edgy race car driver. Did I mention Colton is Sexy as hell! and dominant in so many ways.

As the book progresses their secrets become revealed, and a beautiful romance starts to bud. A lot of people compared this book to Fifty Shades, but to me this book deserves to be put in a category of it's own. While the story has a dominant male and a contract there is so much more to this story. I felt for Rylee and my heart ached for her loss. I also loved seeing Colton's soft side. The romantic dates and interactions with the kids made this book for me.

I highly recommend this book to everyone who is looking for a sexy, emotional, all consuming romance.

Unspoken by Jen Frederick Review

***USA Today Bestseller***
Whore. Slut. Typhoid Mary.

I've been called all these at Central College. One drunken night, one act of irresponsible behavior, and my reputation was ruined. Guys labeled me as easy and girls shied away. To cope, I stayed away from Central social life and away from Central men, so why is it that my new biology lab partner is so irresistible to me?

He's everything I shouldn't want. A former Marine involved in illegal fighting with a quick trigger temper and an easy smile for all the women. His fists aren't the danger to me, though, it's his charm. He's sliding his way into my heart and I'm afraid that he's going to be the one to break me.

My Thoughts:
Another great read from Jen Frederick
4.5/5 Stars

A Beautiful story about two beautifully broken characters...

This book is about sweet AM and daring, slightly hot tempered Bo. When they become partners in class the connection forms and grows into a sexy, intimate situation. While AM tries to fight her attraction towards Bo, emotions run high and secrets are spilled.

Both characters are broken, yet continue to be brave. Together they fight their pasts and form their future.

The friendships are strong in this book and the romance is HOT!  I love how the Author added just enough detail to consume you, but not too much that it overwhelms you.

The storyline was fresh and new... While this book was based around different characters, it still linked back to Undeclared (Book 1)

What makes this a must read for me is the fact that Bo is Alpha male, a fighter Physically and Mentally. He is definitely book boyfriend material, so ladies pick up the book and get ready to swoon!
