The beginning- A point in time or space where something starts.

He loved it, he thrived on it, and he needed it in his life. After a very stable, loving child hood with a few bumps, Sebastian married the love of his life. The one person that he knew would always be there. Julia was his rock, and he loved her more than life itself. Sebastian kept his addiction to the water under control, wanting to keep his time with his wife and son his number one obsession, that was until he saw her. This new addiction haunted him, the one compulsion that he couldn’t control no matter how hard he tried.
Ysabelle Telle hit him hard, knocking the wind from his lungs. Coming from worlds apart, beautiful, dark complexion Ysabelle Telle didn’t have the rich, protected background that Sebastian Vanwell had. Ysabelle lived a life of hell, in poverty, growing up with a drug addict mother that never cared, and horrific living conditions. Ysabelle lived for one person and one person only; herself. She was pure perfection, her beauty along with a flawless body had men lined up, driveling over her insuring her success as a VIP.

Interview with Author Jalpa Williby

Welcome Author Jalpa Williby & Thank you for doing an interview with Reader's Candy!!

Tell us a little about your most recent release.
What is the title and description? Chaysing Dreams was just released in August of this year. It’s about a girl who has recurrent dreams about being chased by something/someone unknown. But before getting caught, she always wakes up. This story is full of suspense- a lot of twists and turns. It’s an unforgettable story of love and loss, friendship and betrayal, tragedy and sacrifice.

If someone asked you why they should read it... What would you say?
I think a lot of readers like to read a good story just to get lost- you know, to escape the craziness of reality. It’s easy to get lost with the characters of Chaysing Dreams. This story is about that ultimate love that we all search for, a story that will keep you at the edge of your seat, a story that will haunt your dreams for a long time.
If you had to describe your writing style with one word... What would it be and why?
Imaginative. I have an imagination out of this world. When I was in school, I was that kid that stopped listening as soon as the teacher started talking. I would get lost in my imaginative world in this crazy head of mine. J
Is there an Author that inspires you to write?
Not specifically. I’ve always loved to read- my whole life I’ve read. But after Fifty Shades of Grey came out, I decided to write- more for fun initially. Then, as the story developed, I decided to publish it in order to somehow bring my characters to the rest of the world.
When reading... What genre do you prefer?
I read all different types of genre. However, I have to admit, I’m a sucker for a good love story. I don’t mean just a trashy romance- but a love story that makes me smile.
We all claim a book boyfriend at one time or another... Who is your current book boyfriend?
Probably the main hero in my book, Chaysing Dreams. I absolutely love him. He’s hot, sexy, mysterious, fierce, passionate, and a tortured soul. (the perfect book boyfriend)

Enough about books... Let's get to know you!
This or That? Both- depends on the situation and my mood.
Vanilla or Chocolate?  Chocolate- I like a bit of color.
Sour or Sweet?  Probably both. The sour helps the sweetness taste that much better.
Money or Happiness?  Definitely happiness. Who cares about the money if you’re not happy?
Christian or Gideon? I have a weakness for Christian Grey.

When it comes to a guy...
Looks or Personality? For temporary love interests, definitely looks. But for any substantial long term relationships, no doubt, it’s personality. An ugly personality translates to ugly looks. On the other hand, if a guy has an amazing personality, he will definitely look hot!
Billionaire or Rockstar? Rockstar for temporary fun but billionaire for long term- I can be very practical when I need to be.
Boxers or Briefs? Boxer briefs!
Control Freak or Careless Jerk? Definitely a control freak- in everything!

MINE by Katy Evans Review

He's mine, and I'm his. Our love is all-consuming, powerful,
imperfect, and real...

In the international bestseller REAL, the unstoppable bad boy of the Underground fighting circuit finally met his match. Hired to keep him in prime condition, Brooke Dumas unleashed a primal desire in Remington "Riptide" Tate as vital as the air he breathes . . . and now he can't live without her.

Brooke never imagined she would end up with the man who is every woman's dream, but not all dreams end happily ever after, and just when they need each other the most, she is torn away from his side. Now with distance and darkness between them, the only thing left is to fight for the love of the man she calls MINE.

My Thoughts:
Okay let me start by saying REAL set the standards high and
unfortunately MINE did not outdo book 1.

3/5 Stars

The beginning takes us back to where REAL left off. Remy and Brooke are back to traveling together and sharing tons of sexual moments. Shortly after though, an unexpected surprise takes place and leads Brooke to bed rest. Remy then travels alone and Brooke is left with her friends and her ipod. They miss one another like crazy and when Brooke is finally allowed to travel again it is time for the big fight with Scorpion. Remy has been on fire, but he is Black and everyone is worried about his safety. Did he win? Was he safe? Read it to see...

*SPOILERS*
This book was good don't get me wrong, but I felt the storyline was lacking. I loved the suspense and drama with Brooke and Remy traveling together.
-I like the Jealousy and angst.
When Brooke got pregnant the whole mood of the book changed! She was put on bed rest at just a couple months into the pregnancy, which I felt was kind of far fetched and personally, the book was slow when Remy was traveling alone. We got friendship and family stories, but I wanted more Remy.
There was drama with scorpion at the beginning and I loved that part. I also loved the ending and all the fighting scenes. They were wrote fabulously.
The book fell short towards the middle though. When Nora went back to the Scorpion. I was like "Oh no! Here we go again." I wanted something different, not a replay of book 1.
I still love Remy and secretly I prefer him black. Shame on me -I know!
His craziness sucks me in and his broken side tugs at my heartstrings.
I definitely say give this book a try. Everyone has their preferences. I just wish this one left me feeling the way REAL did.

Interview with Author Charlene Martin

Welcome Author Charlene Martin & Thank you for doing an Interview with Reader's Candy!
Let's start with your writing.... Tell us a little about your most recent release.
My most recent release was my debut novel ‘Unexpected Love.’  It was released May 2013. It is a New Adult novel (book 1) that develops into a paranormal/Erotic novel (book 2&3).

What is the title and description?
Unexpected Love is the title.

Someone has watched her every move...

Throughout Arissa's life, she has experienced disturbing cold chills running down her spine, the kind that let a person know something is not quite right. For as long as she can remember, she has sensed she is being watched, but has been utterly unsuccessful in finding the person responsible for making her doubt her sanity. Her hope is that in moving away to college she will have a fresh start and a chance to find herself.

After years spent watching her, now he is developing strong feelings for her. That was never part of the plan, never his intention. Ideally, she would remain unaware of his presence in her life. Of course, life rarely unfolds, as it should. The best-laid plans often unravel.  And the best kind of love is completely unexpected.

If someone asked you why they should read it... What would you say?
It is a novel that will keep you guessing, and it will make you feel everything that happens. Most of all it will leave you intrigued and begging for more. Which book two will soon release, Unexpected Destiny is due out by end of December or beginning of January.
If you had to describe your writing style with one word... What would it be and why?
Unique

Is there an Author that inspires you to write?
Not one, but many! Shelly crane is the one that told me to write my idea as I submitted it to her to write, but she declined and told me to do it myself. Shanora Williams is the one that made me write the ending of the book, because she was reading what I had and I hadn’t finished it and she was like, what do you mean there is no ending. So that night I sat down and wrote the ending. I love reading and I have connected with so many authors. They all encourage greatness and I love that they are always so willing to help.
When reading... What genre do you prefer?
Always romance, contemporary, paranormal or erotic. I love them all, but I need that happy  ending.
We all claim a book boyfriend at one time or another... Who is your current book boyfriend?
My current book boyfriend is Nate from Angel Steels Sweet Series. God that boy has me ready to kill him one minute and well throw him down and do naughty things to him the next.
Enough about books... Let's get to know you! This or That?
 Vanilla or Chocolate?
Depends, I love chocolate candy, I hate chocolate cake. But I love Vanilla cake.
 Sour or Sweet?

I guess I am more of a sweet person, but I love sour too.
 Money or Happiness?

Although money could make my life easier I will always choose happiness. Nothing matters more than your happiness.
When it comes to a guy... Looks or Personality?

Personality but looks don’t hurt.
Billionaire or Rockstar?

Billionaire not a fan of rock stars.
 Boxers or Briefs?
Boxers
 Control Freak or Careless Jerk?
Probably control freak, but that might be hard for me because I am the control freak in my house.
In the bedroom... Submissive or Dominant?

I would like to think that I would like to be submissive. I would love for someone to do very dirty things to me if it meant having the greatest pleasure of my life.
 Handcuffs or Blindfold?
I would do both. But I guess I would prefer blindfold.
Whipped Cream or Lotion?
Hum, whipped cream as long as his hot sexy mouth was licking it off of me.
 Sweet/Slow or Hard/Fast ;) ?
I like them both, but it has been hard and fast lately. Thanks to Angel Steel’s books!

Come Undone by Jessica Hawkins Review

Olivia Germaine has already found love. Devoted wife, loyal friend, determined career woman - she’s created the life she always envisioned.

But when Olivia locks eyes with a handsome stranger across a crowded room, he peers a little too closely and sees emotions she thought she’d buried long ago.

David Dylan, alleged playboy and eternal bachelor, challenges Olivia to confront the life she’s built and to make decisions that could either lead to happiness . . . or regret.

Will Olivia be able to draw the line between lust and love?

And can David respect that line

My Thoughts:
A great story with lots angst & romance.
4/5 Stars

This book is about a married woman (Olivia) who has a great job, loving husband, and strong friendships. She feels content in life until she sees sexy David across the room. After days of thinking about the mystery guy, she finally comes face to face with him. There is an instant connection and Olivia can't help but ask what it would be like to be with another man.

David knows he shouldn't feel the way he does, but he can't help it. Going back and forth between keeping his distance and not being able to get enough, he finally loses himself within the beautiful Olivia. Together the sparks fly and their romance is quite addicting.

I found myself intrigued by this book. I was in love with David and despised Bill (her husband). I honestly thought he was cheating, the way he was out of town all of the time. He was always pressuring Olivia, so I totally understand why she would have eyes for someone else.

I enjoyed this book a lot... I just wish there was more David and less friend time. The friend time reminded me of Sex & the City. Too many side stories and not enough of the main characters. There was however some suspense, which really added to the story.
I LOVE SOME DRAMA.

Overall this is a great read. I recommend it to mature readers!

Shuttered Affections by Rene Folsom Review

After escaping to a college town, Juliana Petersen was determined to put her troubled past behind her and make the most of life. She was satisfied with her current situation, or so she thought. It wasn’t until the day her new photography professor stole her parking spot that she realized there was such thing as lust at first sight. Now, she must struggle with the decision to break the rules and fall in love, or step back and let the chance of a lifetime pass her by—all while her past relationships come back to haunt her.

How many men will it take to break Julia’s hold on reality?

Warning: This novel contains sexual situations and is meant for adult readers ages 18 and up.

My Thoughts:
A beautiful mix of mystery and romance.
5/5 stars

This story consumed me from the beginning and had me wanting more at the end.
It starts with a young woman walking into her photography class to notice one of the best surprises ever. . . Her professor was HOT! Automatically, there was an instant connection and while they try to keep their relationship on the DL, they battle a ghost from the past.

The suspense and mystery in this book will leave you on the edge of your seat. I honestly couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Just when I thought I had it figured out, the Author sent me in different direction.

The characters were relatable and charming.  Aiden was a total book boyfriend. He was kind, compassionate, and sexy as hell! Julia was a feisty one. I loved her personality and how strong/confident she was. The romance they shared was intoxicating. I loved the messages they sent each other and how intimate they were over the phone. The sexual tension was so undeniable.

This book had me feeling so many different emotions. One minute I was gushing over the romance, the next I was biting my nails- LIKE nooooo this can't be happening.

I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to all mature readers!!

Interview with Author S.K. Weathers

Welcome Author S.K. Weathers & Thank you for doing an Interview with Reader's Candy!

Let's start with your writing.... Tell us a little about your most recent release. What is the title and description?
• Author’s name is S.K. Weathers
• Book Title is Fiancé for Hire
• Description: Sara receives a surprise visit from her mother, after she has just broken up with her fiancé. In a new living situation, she pretends she’s engaged to her new roommate, Nick. To make matters more complicated, her roommate’s brother, Jake doesn’t hide the fact that he’s very interested in Sara.

If someone asked you why they should read it... What would you say? It’s a lighthearted romance that anyone can relate to. You become invested in the story, because you learn so much about the characters and can identify with them, and you’re curious as to how it will all sort out in the end. Plus, everyone needs a little fluff in their lives, every once in a while. It's a nice escape.

If you had to describe your writing style with one word... What would it be and why?
In-depth
You really get to know the character’s personalities, and what drives them. I think I write them so they’re easy to imagine and they form a clear picture in your mind of who they are.

Is there an Author that inspires you to write? When reading... What genre do you prefer? The author I enjoy the most these days is Patricia Briggs. She has set up an incredible world in her books, down to the way she explains the social hierarchies, and subtle things like body language, etc. You can get lost in her books.
I like several genres: urban fantasy, paranormal, contemporary and historical romance.
